Calamity

Improv

The Wild West of Improv Shows

It's tough performing in the town of Scriptless Gulch. These lawless folks have to come up with everything on the spot, while the town's Sheriff keeps them in line. Don't miss this bunch of sharp shootin' buckaroos take audience suggestions and turn them into gold. Load up your chuck wagon! This is one TALL TALE of a show and you don't want to miss it! New games, scenes, and audience participation added regularly. You'll never see the same show twice.

But who ARE these cowpokes?

Sarah enjoys acting in local theater and playing with improv troupes around Northern VA.  She is a local girl who believes a community that can laugh together and at themselves is the kind of community she wants to be a part of!

"Silver Spurs" SARAH AKERS

Star began her career as a child on stages, television and the big screen.  She took a break to focus on “real life” – having a family and becoming an attorney, speaker and trainer.  Realizing that “real life” is overrated, she is delighted to return to the “bigger than real life” world of improv.

"Sundance" STAR BOBATOON

Jessica has always been a big ham. Lucky for her family and friends, she eventually learned to channel that energy into theatre. Most recently, she has performed in several productions at her alma mater, Berry College, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication. Some of Jessica’s more interesting hobbies include strapping herself into plastic boats and paddling through whitewater rapids, strapping herself into a harness and climbing on rocks, or strapping on tennis shoes to tell jokes at an open mic night somewhere. She’s excited to join Calamity Improv.

 "Janglin" JESSICA CANNON

Sarah is a transplant to Northern Virginia. Yes, she moved here for a job but she stayed because of the warm community (and the improv)! Always up for an adventure, she is excited to join Calamity Improv in the Wild West.

Brittani has loved theatre since the wee age of who knows. In 2014 she decided her love for theatre no longer needed to be a spectator sport but to grab the reigns to delve more into the industry from all aspects of the performances. She currently works at the Hylton Performing Arts Center in Manassas as a Merchandiser, Box Office Lead and Marketing Assistant while managing to rescue animals and work 15 other jobs. She is a Jack of All Trades and is excited to try out a new hat with Dark Horse Theatre Co., the Stage Manager!
