Play Fight: Youth Stage Combat is an exciting, hands-on performance class where students ages 8 and up learn how actors safely create the illusion of fights, falls, and physical conflict for the stage. This class blends acting technique with movement training, helping students build control, awareness, and confidence while mastering the fundamentals of theatrical combat.
Students will learn how to choreograph safe and believable fight sequences, including unarmed stage combat, basic weapon work (as appropriate for age and training level), reactions, timing, distance, and partner trust. Every movement is carefully coached to prioritize safety while still delivering dynamic, dramatic storytelling.
